THREE STEPS

A direct conversion, with a check in the middle.

1. Export from Chrome

Open Bookmark Manager, choose Export bookmarks, and keep the resulting HTML file.

2. Convert locally

Choose the HTML file here. The browser reads it without sending your bookmark data to a server.

3. Verify and download

Check the row count, nested folder paths, special characters, and missing dates before downloading CSV.

WHAT THE CSV CONTAINS

Five fields that make the bookmark list usable.

The converter flattens Chrome's folder tree into a sortable path. Missing dates stay blank, and original URLs remain unchanged.

title

The bookmark title, with CSV escaping for commas and quotes.

url

The original saved address, including every query parameter and fragment.

folder_path

Nested folders joined into one readable, sortable path.

domain

The hostname extracted from each standard web URL.

added_at

The date when the bookmark was added, in ISO format when Chrome provides one.

Chrome bookmarks to CSV questions

Is my bookmarks file uploaded?

No. Reading, preview, and CSV creation happen in your browser. The file and its URLs are not sent to Nodus Vault.

Does the converter remove duplicates or tracking parameters?

No. This page preserves every parsed bookmark and its original URL. Use Bookmark Cleaner separately when you intentionally want those changes.

Is CSV the same as an Excel file?

No. CSV is a plain-text table that Excel, Numbers, and Google Sheets can open. Save a working copy as XLSX if you need Excel formatting or formulas.

Are Chrome folders preserved?

Their hierarchy is recorded in the folder_path column. A CSV is flat, so it does not behave like Chrome's visual folder tree.

What are the current limits?

The file must be a bookmarks HTML export and no larger than 8 MB. Missing or invalid add dates remain blank instead of being guessed.

NEED TO CHANGE THE LIBRARY?

Conversion preserves the list. Cleanup is a separate decision.

Use this converter for a faithful spreadsheet. Open Bookmark Cleaner only when you want to review duplicates, campaign codes, or empty folders.
